1 Cent "1792 Birch Cent" (Pattern)
Obverse: Female bust right with flowing curly hair, and "BIRCH" on the truncation. "LIBERTY PARENT OF SCIENCE & INDUSTRY *" at rim, with date below truncation but not at rim., Reverse: "ONE" over "CENT" in center within wreath, and "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "1/100" at rim.

Obverse: "LIBERTY" inscribed across a scroll on a US shield. Behind the shield are two crossed poles, one with a liberty cap and one with an eagle. The US motto is above, with seven stars to the left, six stars to the right, and the date below., Reverse: "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" surrounding olive wreath, with large "1" in center, and a circle of dots around the rim.

1 Cent "1974 Lincoln Memorial" (Pattern)
Obverse: The portrait in right profile of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States from 1861 to 1865, is accompanied with the lettering "LIBERTY" and the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST"., Reverse: The Lincoln Memorial is surrounded with the face value in full, the lettering : "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and the motto : "E • PLURIBUS • UNUM •"


1 Cent "Flowing Hair Cent" (Chain reverse)
Obverse: The "Flowing Hair" Liberty head on the right, and the vintage. This design was not well received by the public, as flowing hair was considered daring for its time., Reverse: The face value (in words and fractions) surrounded by a chain. This design wasn't well received either, as the chain didn't give the impression of freedom. That's why it was later replaced by a plant crown.


1 Cent "Flowing Hair Cent" (Wreath reverse)
Obverse: The "Flowing Hair" Liberty head on the right, and the vintage. In spite of a big work of remodelling of the head, this design did not meet more success. It was abandoned for good afterwards. There is a branch above the date. On some very rare pieces, there are strawberry leaves with a bud instead. See comments for more details., Reverse: The face value (in all letters) surrounded by a plant crown. This design was well received by the public. The fraction is now under the bow of the ribbon.
