½ Dollar (Alabama Centennial)
Obverse: Portraits of William Wyatt Bibb, the first governor of Alabama, and Thomas E. Kilby, the current governor. Twenty-two stars are arranged to each side of the portrait. Some coins were struck with “2X2” in the right field above the stars. Although this was intended to be a scarcer variety, ultimately the number of plain and “2X2” coins were very close., Reverse: An eagle perched on a shield, which is based on the Alabama State Seal.


25 Cents "Washington Quarter" (Dr. Mary Edwards Walker)
Obverse: Portrait of George Washington, facing right., Reverse: Dr. Mary Edwards Walker holding her pocket surgical kit, with the Medal of Honor on her uniform, and surgeon’s pin at her collar. After receiving the award, she continued to wear the Medal of Honor for the rest of her life. The left side of the design showcases the details of the Medal of Honor of that time.
