¼ Dollar "Washington Quarter" (North Dakota)
Obverse: The portrait in left profile of George Washington, the first President of the United Stats from 1789 to 1797, is accompanied with the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the lettering "LIBERTY" and it is surrounded with the face value and the inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", Reverse: A pair of grazing American bison in the foreground, a sunset view of the rugged buttes and canyons that symbolize the State’s Badlands region.

Obverse: "LIBERTY" inscribed across a scroll on a US shield. Behind the shield are two crossed poles, one with a liberty cap and one with an eagle. The US motto is above, with seven stars to the left, six stars to the right, and the date below., Reverse: "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" surrounding olive wreath, with large "1" in center, and a circle of dots around the rim.
