Obverse: The 1984 coin's obverse depicts the entrance of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, which prominently features two headless sculptures., Reverse: A perched bald eagle with an olive branch and its head turned over its left shoulder.

Obverse: The portrait in left profile of George Washington, the first President of the United Stats from 1789 to 1797, is accompanied with the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the lettering "LIBERTY" and it is surrounded with the face value and the inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", Reverse: A pair of grazing American bison in the foreground, a sunset view of the rugged buttes and canyons that symbolize the State’s Badlands region.
