Obverse
Displays an uncloaked Washington facing right (to an observer) with two crossed flags behind him. There are 13 stars lining the edge of the coin, but due to a poor die, the stars on the right side of the coin may be light.

Reverse
A wreath made up of an olive branch on the left and an oak branch on the right. At the bottom middle is a military trophy with a drum over it as well as crossed cannons and rifles.

Obverse: Portrait of John F. Kennedy to the left and the date below, Reverse: Modified presidential seal of the United States of America, a shield with vertical stripes on the chest of an American bald eagle. The eagle holds an olive branch in its right talon and a bundle of thirteen arrows in its left talon and a scroll with "E PLURIBUS UNUM" in its beak. A circle of 50 stars surrounds the eagle.
