¼ Dollar "Washington Quarter" (Fort Moultrie at Fort Sumter National Monument, South Carolina)
Obverse: The portrait in left profile of George Washington, the first President of the United States from 1789 to 1797, is accompanied with the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the lettering "LIBERTY" surrounded with the denomination and the inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", Reverse: Depicts Sergeant William Jasper returning the regimental flag to the ramparts while under attack from a British ship. Inscriptions are “FORT MOULTRIE,” “SOUTH CAROLINA,” “2016” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
