Obverse: A full length figure of Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left., Reverse: An American eagle rising from a mountaintop perch, value below.


¼ Dollar "Washington Quarter" (Cumberland Gap National Historical Park, Kentucky)
Obverse: The portrait in left profile of George Washington, the first President of the United States from 1789 to 1797, is accompanied with the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the lettering "LIBERTY" surrounded with the denomination and the inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", initials JF in truncation of portrait., Reverse: A frontiersman gazing across the mountains to the West. Many pioneers used Cumberland Gap on their journey into the western frontiers of Kentucky and Tennessee.
