Obverse: The portrait in left profile of George Washington, the first President of the United States from 1789 to 1797, is accompanied with the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the lettering "LIBERTY" and it is surrounded with the face value and the inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", Reverse: Samoan ceremonial items, including an ava bowl, the whisk, and staff.


Civil War Token - Washington (F-117/420)
Obverse: Displays an uncloaked Washington facing right (to an observer) with two crossed flags behind him. There are 13 stars lining the edge of the coin, but due to a poor die, the stars on the right side of the coin may be light., Reverse: A wreath made up of an olive branch on the left and an oak branch on the right. At the bottom middle is a military trophy with a drum over it as well as crossed cannons and rifles.
