Obverse: Bust of liberty left, with flowing hair. "LIBERTY PARENT OF SCIENCE & INDUS." and date at rim with denticals., Reverse: Flying eagle center with "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "DISME" at rim with denticals.

Obverse: A linear stylized flying eagle with a quill pen in his talons., Reverse: A quill pen positioned vertically, with “We The People” written in calligraphy and an arc of thirteen stars.

Obverse: The "Flowing Hair" Liberty head on the right, the thirteen stars of the original union and the vintage. This design was not well accepted by the public, as the flowing hair was considered daring for the time., Reverse: A puny eagle, head right and wings spread, standing on an olive branch and the name of the country.
