Obverse: "LIBERTY" inscribed across a scroll on a US shield. Behind the shield are two crossed poles, one with a liberty cap and one with an eagle. The US motto is above, with seven stars to the left, six stars to the right, and the date below., Reverse: "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" surrounding olive wreath, with large "1" in center, and a circle of dots around the rim.

Obverse: The portrait in left profile of George Washington, the first President of the United States from 1789 to 1797., Reverse: The façade of the Hot Springs National Park headquarters building with a thermal fountain in the foreground. The headquarters was built in the Spanish colonial revival style and completed in 1936 and the National Park Service emblem featured to the right from the door and the date at the bottom
