Obverse: The portrait in left profile of George Washington, the first President of the United States from 1789 to 1797, is accompanied with the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the lettering "LIBERTY" and it is surrounded with the face value and the inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", engravers' initials on neck truncation., Reverse: The statue "Commonwealth", an allegorical female figure, against the outline of the state, is accompanied with the state's name ("PENNSYLVANIA"), the date of its admission into Union ("1787"), a keystone which illustrates its nickname (The Keystone State), the three words "VIRTUE LIBERTY INDEPENDENCE", the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" at the bottom and engraver's initials to the right of statue's legs.
