Hard Times Token - Liberty / Millions for Defence, Not One Cent for Tribute
Obverse: Left facing Liberty head, tiara of olive leaves, plain hair cords, E PLURIBUS UNUM on scroll above with 7 stars on left & 6 on right. A tiny, leftmost leaf is opposite P & medium 1837 date below., Reverse: Wreath touches the right side of ribbon below, and a line below CENT. The 3 outside wreath berries are below first L, first N, and second E. There are 5 inside the wreath berries, the last of which is to upper right of the E in ONE.

Obverse: Head of Liberty left with coiled hair, wearing a coronet. "★6★G★.3★S★.7★C★7★G★R★A★M★S★" and date at rim., Reverse: A large 5-pointed star in center with "ONE" over "STELLA" over scroll work over "400" over "CENTS" on it. Motto and "DEO EST GLORIA" surround star, and "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "FOUR DOL." are at rim.
