2½ Dollars "Quarter Eagle" (Pattern; gold)
Obverse: Head of Liberty left, with ribbon in hair. Hair band inscribed with "LIBERTY," and motto and date at rim., Reverse: Eagle with open wings, holding olive branch and arrows in talons. "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "2½ DOLLARS" at rim.

1 Cent "Flowing Hair Cent" (Chain reverse)
Obverse: The "Flowing Hair" Liberty head on the right, and the vintage. This design was not well received by the public, as flowing hair was considered daring for its time., Reverse: The face value (in words and fractions) surrounded by a chain. This design wasn't well received either, as the chain didn't give the impression of freedom. That's why it was later replaced by a plant crown.
